We are crossing the Atlantic to create more awareness for the ocean!
Ahoy!
We are Thomas, Lovisa, Chillie & Jeroen. Team Into the Unknown, currently living on SV Windfall in La Gomera.
We are standing on the edge of a very big adventure..
Tristan & Aidan will row across the Atlantic Ocean while participating in The Talisker Whiskey Challenge 2021. The worlds toughest rowing challenge, rowing 3000 NM (5000 KM) across the Atlantic Ocean.
We will be following them by sail and this will also be our very first time crossing the Atlantic with Windfall, our sailboat.
Aidan and Tristan are rowing and we are sailing across the ocean for the foundation The Ocean Movement (www.theoceanmovement.org), all collected funds will be going to this ANBI stichting.
We have a Manta Trawl onboard and we will be trawling and sampling microplastics along the passage that Team Migaloo will be rowing. This makes the story interesting as we can measure and study how much plastic there is on route.
Measuring is knowing!
